After Dark: Satori

Jun 02, 2026

Whoa, man, like, my mind is being blown!.

“Trippy stuff” is another common module theme for various After Dark collections. These cycle through a bit faster than I’d like, and I probably should have set the resolution a bit higher for this, but it looks fine. Drop an edible, put on your favorite vaporware album, and enjoy the ride.

Lots of sliders on here. "Display" determines the types of shapes Satori will produce. Options are things like "Pools", "Rays", "Leaves", etc. All the shapes are pretty simple. "Colors" does what you'd expect, though all of the colors are named after places and not all of them are obvious (at least not to me.). Hawaii, for example, produces a lot of pastel colors while Colorado gives earth tones. "End resolution determines how pixelated everything will be. 1x1 makes everything very smooth while 8x8 makes it all chonky. Back in the day, my computer might have struggled with 1x1, but with modern emulators, it's no problem and the way to go imo. Finally, "Knots" just determines how complex the image will be.

Display and colors can both be set to random and I don't know why you'd ever set them to anything else if you're planning to just zone out and stare at it all for awhile.
