And here we are. The final screen saver module I posted about before Cohost went bye bye.
It may be After Dark’s default, but I find it to be fantastic in its own right. I just love me a good city skyline. Being the default module, there aren’t any controls or adjustments the user can make to this one. What you see is what you get, though the position and shapes of the buildings are randomized.
There are actually alternate versions of this with slightly different names that let you adjust building heights. Also, this one has these large orb-shaped buildings for some reason. It's strange, but I still enjoy it just the same. Simple as it is, it's one of my favorite modules.
And that's a wrap on this series for now. I don't have any plans to do more of these right away, but there are so many more After Dark modules that are worth showcasing that I will probably come back to this at some point.
I hope you all enjoyed this little examination of some of the fun, quirky, and strange stuff that the folks at Berkley Systems thought (correctly) that we'd want adorning our computer monitors when we left them alone for too long.
And RIP Cohost. You were too good for this world.
